We operate in the sector of power distribution in six states of the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. 12 million inhabitants of Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Piauí, Rondônia and Roraima (Boa Vista city) are served, totalizing together a territorial area of 2.37 km², corresponding to 27.8% of the national territory, with very heterogeneous geographical, social, cultural and economic characteristics.
Providing electric power to those regions in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner is a great challenge. Therefore, we invest in the constant development of solutions to overcome the innumerable technical, managerial, environmental and legal variables.
Project Energia +
In 2011, we entered into an important partnership with the World Bank aiming at improving the operational and financial performance and corporate governance of our six distributors. Entitled "Energia +", the project comprises resources equivalent to US$ 709.3 million, which have been applied in a set of actions to reduce electrical losses, increase of collection rates and the improvement of quality of the service rendered for the consumers of electric power, thus contributing for the reasonable tax, the satisfaction of the customers and the proper return for the shareholders.

Concession of the distribution companies
On July 22, 2016, during 165th Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), our shareholders decided to transfer the share the control of our six distributors up to December 31, 2017. It was also defined that, up to the demobilization of each asset, the distributors would receive directly from the Federal Government or by means of tax, all resources and remunerations necessary to operate, to keep and to make investments related to public services of electric power distribution.
